Parents or guardians, siblings, partners, children and wider relatives keep persistent identities, ages, relationships and shared history. Childhood family remains visible after the character forms an adult household.
The shared family network across households
Family remains the place to understand the household, each child and Growing Up. For the choices and routes that can lead to a child — Family Plans, partner conversations, trying, fertility support, assisted conception, adoption, unplanned pregnancy and placement — use 15A. Routes to Parenthood. Pregnancy and birth create Health, relationship, work, money and Calendar consequences rather than simply adding a name to the family tree. Parenting choices influence routines, pressure, connection and memories.
Children age through their own development, education, Health and relationships with the household. School stages, qualifications and adult transitions are saved. An adult child can leave home, form relationships, have children and extend the family into another generation.
Open a child’s Growing Up profile from Family to see their current stage, character, important people, interests and recorded history. Children can develop differently through temperament, interests, friendship, parenting, school and family circumstances. There is no single perfect route and no hidden score to chase.
A child growing with education, identity and family history
Childcare fits into a normal household plan rather than becoming a daily drop-off task. A child may use nursery, a childminder, family help, partner care or a combination that suits the household. Work, money, availability and routine matter, while ordinary care happens automatically. Meaningful pressure, changes or exceptions are the moments LIVORA brings to the player.
School placement, primary and secondary school, reports, friendships, activities, interests and important difficulties or milestones become part of the child’s story. LIVORA does not require you to manage every lesson, school run or friendship. It surfaces the moments that matter, while support, stability, attention and the child’s own circumstances shape what follows.
Parenting has an effect over time. Showing up, listening, keeping promises, supporting interests, handling conflict, pressure, absence and respect for growing independence can all matter. One difficult choice does not permanently define a parent-child relationship; the pattern of the Life continues.
Teenagers gain more agency over friendships, privacy, social Life, Digital Life, responsibilities, personal money, part-time work and future plans. Parents can guide and negotiate, but do not directly control them. A teenager’s private Digital Life is their own; family only see what has been shared.
At GCSE stage, subject preferences and future ideas can matter. Later routes can include sixth form, college, vocational training, an apprenticeship, employment or university later where appropriate. A young person has preferences of their own, so advice is an influence rather than a command. The complete childhood-to-adult education journey is in 5. Education & Student Life.
