Job Search shows roles that fit the current labour market and the character’s qualifications and experience. Education can make an application possible or strengthen it, but completing a qualification does not guarantee a job, promotion or salary. An application can lead to rejection, an interview or an offer, and no single interview choice guarantees success. 5. Education & Student Life explains how school, university, apprenticeships and later learning feed the permanent record.
Work abroad has an additional boundary: a role or conditional offer can support a work route, but it does not replace immigration permission or complete the move. Compare the route, destination and household plan in 20A. Countries, Visas & Life Abroad.
Career showing an active role and the next work decisions
Career Journey keeps jobs, applications, interviews, promotions, changes and exits in one record.
Employer, role, pay, authority, current commitments and the work situation affecting today.
Applications, interviews, accepted offers, promotions, redundancy, resignation and later direction changes.
It also shows the current employer, pay and the authority attached to the role.
Career Journey keeping employment and authority connected
Working means more than collecting pay. Shifts and commitments use time. Colleagues, managers and workplace relationships can create support, conflict, mentorship, hard conversations and drama. Performance, qualifications, reputation, choices and the employer's circumstances can lead to progression, promotion, discipline or a need to change direction.
Other people have working lives too. Partners and family members may change jobs or develop careers, affecting household time, money and relationships without becoming a second playable character.
Creator projects use the same available time as the rest of the Life. You can keep creating alongside a job, consider side self-employment, or explicitly choose a main-work route when available. A main-work confirmation can end the current job and payroll; creating alone does not. See 18D. Creator, Media & Public Life for the creative journey and those choices.
Holiday entitlement and approved leave matter when booking a Trip. Illness, caring or major Life events may create leave and workplace consequences. Later-life retraining, part-time work, career breaks and retirement remain possible when the Life supports them.
